History Of Music Videos (1)
Learning Comments
I have learnt the changes from very old music videos to the most recent and how they adapt to the updating of technology. The older music videos have the artist singing live on the stage with people watching them as an audience in the late 60's. As the years progress so do the music videos. They tend to get more adventurous with there ideas hence having scenes outside or in a specific building and then a variety of scenes mixing together in the 70's. After this the 80's experimented even more with scenes and perfected their lip syncing and camera quality improved immensely. However the stage remains preset until the middle 1990's. and the lack of audience drops and the artist has the most focus. A significant change was in 1995 where the scenes used a lot of special effects that are used a lot however not necessarily very well as technology is rapidly improving. Throughout the years the narrative has become more present and clear, however the year is really started to demonstrate was early 2000's. The music videos since then have been improved via camera quality, special effects and perfect lip syncing.
The narrative also becomes a given. However the most recent video which is less than 6 months old seems to be an anomaly. It is mainly special effects and doesn't contain very many scenes and they are very bland. The only similarity is the lip syncing.
