My Filming and Editing Schedules (25)
Learning Comments
I created a visual schedule so that it will be easy to read when we need to know what dates to film on with what props (I put the definite dates at the bottom) I also sent this to the actors so that they could see what to expect on that day and to know the date and time. We plan to film during a whole weekend as thats our availability to book in a camera for a weekend. This means that we have a long time to film the majority of the shots. if there are more shots that we missed or we need to redo we can always rebook the camera for a short day to refilm. I also put down the dates for editing. We decided that as soon as we got the first lot of filming that we would start editing immediately to make the most of our time.

Storyboard and Shot List (21)
Initial Ideas for Editing
Actual Storyboard and Shot list
Learning Comments
We decided to redo our storyboard and shot list as we felt that it didn't go into much depth of detail. This would then mean that when we came to filming that it wouldn't be very organised and easy to follow. Although we will keep and use most of the shots we might change the order slightly depending on the timings of the song as the shots have to fit the song at the right time. This means we might have to alter the order slightly. We also planned that we would film more than needed so we are reassured that we defiantly have enough filming to use and to prevent having to go out refilm which is not using time effectively.

Clothing

Props

Learning Comments
We decided to keep our clothes casual due to our original research on our previous tasks. We had to tie in what are actors already owned to adjust it to be suited to our music video. Once we did that we could put together a storyboard and to now know what our actor are going to wear. We only had a couple of props which works in our advantage because its less to organise and sometimes it can draw attention away from the actor or a scene of importance. Furthermore we feel that by using less props will make them more effective when we do use them like the red cloth which should look very bright.

Lyrical Analysis (17)
Learning Comments
By analysing the lyrics we found out the meaning of the song which can help us to create a suitable narrative to our music video. We found out that on the verses he is singing about life which includes the people and places he has met and been too. The chorus is repetitive which is about how its all about one night and one person on the chorus. As the lyrics are quite open about life we can adapt a lot of things to the music video as we can be quite open on what we film about as they lyrics are very broad. This will make filming easier as we have a wide variety to film however this could also cause drawbacks. To much freedom could make us create something irrelevant so this is why we needed to analysis the lyrics properly otherwise the music video wouldn't make sense and look as effective.

My Video Genre Research (16)
Learning Comments
This task was about picking a genre which is the same of our song which is pop rock. From analysing the music videos it can help us create a music video in the genre of the song. Although some of the locations were parties it is still doable to create a music video without one for this genre because the last song managed to do it. Also in all of them there doesn't seem to be a long narrative. Its usually based on one night or a theme. However there is a lot of lip syncing. The clothes do see to be extravagant in some but others are not. This means we can compromise on our clothing. The actors seem to have the main attention which make sense. They did this by using close-up an medium show. Furthermore the editing is based on them. There was also lots of use of slow motion which might be quite nice to use in our music video too.
